Integrated Performances from a Single Source

On behalf of LAUDA the worldwide leading producer of innovative tempering devices and facilities Dr. Schönheit + Partner planned and accompanied the reconstruction of the factory on the existing plant area in Lauda-Königshofen. Many planning and realization steps preceded the completion of the economic, flexible and high qualitative production hall B11: together with Dr. Schönheit + Partner LAUDA first introduced step by step the production system worked out jointly in order to be able to respond flexibly to market requirements and to be prepared for the future. Initially the usually highly complex working processes concerning the production were inspected, then improved and finally transferred to a high-performance overall system in which the individual is in the focus of the processes.

LAUDA 2014 – Optimization of Inventory on Existing Plant Area

Following the principle „from inside out“ and aiming at the optimization of existing area Dr. Schönheit + Partner developed the plan and as project coordinator accompanied the reconstruction and enlargement of the factory. In the first stage of construction the central warehouse and the connecting passage to the production was constructed based on existing buildings and finished in summer 2012. The central store B10 rises as a cube in the centre of the factory premises and can clearly be differentiated from the total ensemble by its distinct shape and materials used. The function of the building is easily perceptible by its transluscent facade. As a contrast to this light-coloured cube there are the surrounding production buildings with the production related administration. Here the new production hall B11 as extension of the existing facilities was finalized in 2013 in a second stage of construction.
