Site-Development and Masterplan for Drägerwerk AG

In context of a site-development planning for Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA at Lübeck site Dr. Schönheit + Partner developed a masterplan displaying 3 steps including an economical calculation (best practice à real practice). For the medicine- and safety-divisions the two Lübeck sites are consolidated at one location. The planning of „the future´s plant“ followed the approach „from interior to exterior“ considering Dräger´s strategic concept „One Network for Efficiency (ONE)“. In consideration of middle and long term capacity planning and the overall project´s profitability, the site-development planning included a site-neutral and holistic design of production and logistics processes of medicine and safety division as well as internet-services (logistics). The planning verification and implementation regarding production- and logistics-processes took place parallel in a defined pilot perimeter called “learning cell”. The planning results convinced Dräger: In the beginning of 2013 S + P starts to plan office-, production- and logistics-facilities considering several value-stream-optimizations. The realisation will start in 2014.

Learning Center Dräger Medical GmbH, Travemünde

Dr. Schönheit + Partner first developed a structure plan for a new factory, in which care units and operating room lights are produced. In parallel, the maximum efficiency of the proposed investment has been ensured by a Lead to Lean®-process. For the sustainable optimization of the processes, learning centers were gradually implemented to make sure that the targeted potentials can be realized. Employees are involved in the change process, and ramp up of the new factory is accelerated.
